With a blitz of retailer inspections and a crack down focusing on disposable vapes, the FDA has announced that it has issued as many as 189 new warning letters to both stores and online retailers. Although most of the warning letters were issued to convenience stores and gas stations, there were some smoke shop and vape stores that were cited as well.
As unfortunate as it is to share, Ohio now faces a flavor ban. The bill was passed the following day after it was proposed, and without any public debate. Before the final bill can be passed, it must be reconciled in a committee. Quick to act, CASAA has already issued a call-to-action to alert Ohio vapers and provide instructions on how to oppose the flavor ban. You can learn more about that here.
A Texas vape shop was recently targeted by masked individuals, and what they did will surprise you. Two masked men entered Vape House, a vape store located in Galena Park, Texas, and immediately began throwing Molotov cocktails inside of the store. The carpeted store burst into flames and the attackers exited the front door, blocked it, and set it on fire in hopes of trapping the employee inside. Fortunately, the employee was able to kick the door open and exit to safety. The store was burnt badly and the owner, Sami Durrani, shared that he lost more than $100,000 in products.
