The Latest Industry News
The first piece of industry news we have to share is information regarding the Food and Drug Administration. A federal court has recently ordered the FDA to provide a status report on its current progress reviewing the remaining Premarket Tobacco Applications (otherwise known as PMTAs). There are tens of thousands of application that still remain, so the FDA has quite the task ahead of them. U.S. District Court Judge Paul Grimm issued the decision on April 15. The FDA must regular status reports to the Court and provide estimates of when it expects to complete the review of the PMTAs from the industry's largest manufacturers, which includes Juul, Njoy, Vuse, Logic, Blu, SMOK, Suorin, and Puff Bar, alongside others with two-percent or more market share.
