The Latest Industry News
Until now, you could only purchase nicotine products in Malaysia by prescription for medical purposes. However, recently the Malaysian health minister made an announcement that the country would exempt nicotine used in vapes from the country's Poison Act. This will now allow a legal vaping market in the country, although a tax on vaping products would follow.
The United Kingdom has a goal to reach a "smoke free" status by 2030, and to help them achieve this goal, they've recently announced a plan where they'll be giving away one million vape starter kits to smokers in England to help the 5.4 million English residents to quit smoking. In this plan, they're also including financial incentives for pregnant women to quit smoking as well.
Unfortunately, Quebec vapers will soon face a flavor ban, thanks to the health ministry of Quebec, which introduced draft regulation to prohibit the sales of flavored vapes. The ban will take effect on July 20, and includes a ban on bottles larger than 30mL, pre-filled vapes with a capacity of more than 2mL, and limit nicotine strength to just 20mg.
